Talking to your medical team
|
Talking to your medical team is your opportunity to get the information you need about ovarian cancer in general, and your treatment in particular. But if you're on a busy hospital ward, or know that your appointment time is limited, it can be difficult to remember all the things you wanted to ask. It helps to plan ahead and make a list of the questions that occur to you between appointments. It's a good idea to get to grips with some of the medical terms you're likely to hear, too. You could also think about taking a friend with you - it may be easier for them to take information in, and they can keep notes for you. In this section, you'll find a checklist of questions to ask before and after your treatment, and advice on where to go for more information. |
