Media
Welcome to the Ovacome
Media Centre.
Ovacome is the UK's only information and support network for
ovarian cancer patients with its own nurse run helpline. With over
5,500 members, it is the voice for women with the disease. And
backed by 14 years of ethical heritage behind it, it is widely
respected and well regarded within the medical profession.
As a member of the National Cancer Research Network, Ovacome has
an unrivalled understanding of ovarian cancer and the clinical
trial process, with access to the UK's top clinicians.
It prides itself on being the authority on the disease and the
one stop shop for journalists wanting the latest information and
statistics on ovarian cancer. In its work as a charity, Ovacome
helps thousands of women and their families and friends every year,
with information, support and advice. It can therefore provide
journalists with case studies to fit specific publications and its
media friendly chief executive Louise Bayne is available to give
specific quotes.
We welcome interest from the press and will be happy to help in
any way that we can to throw light on this often over looked
disease.
We can provide journalists with case studies and photography of
women who have had or who are living with ovarian cancer; we can
provide the latest statistics and information on the disease and we
can arrange interviews with experts on the condition.
We look forward to hearing from you.
