Volunteer with Ovacome
Ovacome is always on the look out for
people who can help out in either a professional or voluntary
capacity.
Tell your
story
We are always being contacted by the media looking to speak with
women who have experience of ovarian cancer. It is important that
women's stories are heard as it helps to raise not only the profile
of Ovacome, letting word of our services reach more people, but it
also helps to spread awareness about ovarian cancer and its
symptoms. Most people find it a very positive and empowering
experience to share their stories - if you would like to share any
part of yours, contact Amanda Hayhurst on 020 8973 2632 or
Juliet Morrison on 01273 208356.
In the office
We are always in need of an extra pair
of hands in our central London office! We are a small team with a
very busy workload and always welcome additional help, especially
during peak times in March (Ovarian Cancer awareness month) and
before Christmas and our Members' Day.
Conferences and
exhibitions
From time to time we would also love to
have an extra pair of hands to help out at exhibitions and
conferences we attend, handing out literature and chatting to
delegates about Ovacome and ovarian cancer. These take place all
over the country; Glasgow, Belfast, Birmingham, Manchester,
Newcastle, Cardiff and London.
Travel expenses and lunch will be reinbursed.
If you would like to know more or to offer your help, please
contact the Ovacome office on 020 7299 6654 for a chat.
