We are delighted to announce that Ovacome has been selected as one of the winning organisations in this year's People's Projects and will receive £50,000 to set up an ovarian cancer support base in the West Midlands!

With this funding, we will be able to:

  • Give those affected by ovarian cancer living further north the same opportunities as those who live close to London.
  • Appoint a new member of staff in Birmingham, who will deliver Ovacome's support services in the area, helping us to offer specialist resources, personalised information and emotional support.
  • Run more regional support and wellbeing events and work with other local charities - helping to build a local community for those affected by the disease, who can offer each other encouragement, friendship, knowledge and understanding.
  • Raise awareness by giving free talks about signs and symptoms to local businesses and community groups.

Thank you so much to everyone who voted. We could never have achieved this without your help and we are so incredibly grateful.

We are thoroughly looking forward to getting started on this project in the coming months.

We are now recruiting for the role of West Midlands Support Hub Coordinator. For more information and to apply, click here.
