Get involved Come to an online event How the immune system fights ovarian cancer Our immune system not only defends our bodies against bacteria and viruses – it also plays an important role in killing cancer cells. Understanding how immune cells work to kill tumours, as well as how tumours can ‘corrupt’ our immune cells to help it grow, could be the key to providing more effective treatments for women with ovarian cancer. Researcher Dr Sarah Spear from the Ovarian Cancer Action Research Centre (OCARC) at Imperial College London will describe what happens in the tumour microenvironment and share how their research project could help to provide immunotherapy treatment for people with ovarian cancer. Register for the webinar below. You will then be sent instructions on how to join the session. Our staff are here to support you, so please get in touch if you have questions or are unsure about how to join the session.
