Those who carry a faulty gene that increases their risk of ovarian cancer face some tough decisions-including if and when to have major surgery to remove their fallopian tubes and ovaries, putting them into immediate early menopause.

Professor Ranjit Manchanda is leading a study, called PROTECTOR, to look into another option: of removing fallopian tubes first, reducing some ovarian cancer risk, and then removing ovaries at a later date.

Professor Manchanda joins Ovarian Cancer Action in this Q&A for you to find out about the study, what it entails, and how to get involved.
