Take part in the first Ovacome Season's Greetings card design competition!

We have had to change the original closing date from 31 May 2021 to 31 January 2022, we apologise for any inconvenience.

There will be three winners chosen by a panel of professional artist judges, see below, and the winning entries will be printed and sold in our online shop from September 2022, with all funds raised from the sale of the cards going towards supporting our work.

You'll be helping to raise funds for our ovarian cancer support services and awareness projects.

The competition is open to all ages and anyone in the UK. You can submit more than one entry. You can use any medium, the entries need to be in a square format and no smaller than 160mm x 160mm. Ensure you read the competition details that are also the Terms and conditions using the link below.

To enter, please register your entry into the competition by the link below. Please use your own name when registering online. Please download and fill out all your details on the application form. Then email your entry (a scan of or a photograph), not exceed 2MB to [email protected]

OR you can submit a photograph or a printed scan of your entry by post to Ovacome, 52-54 Featherstone Street, London EC1Y 8RT. Please read the competition details for further information for submitting by post.

You can use any medium but the final design will need to presented as a photograph/scan. The winning entries will be photographed for printing, we will not be replicating images from other forms of medium.

The competition will close at 5pm on 31 January 2022 - the winners will be announced in February.

Entries cost £5 which will go to our support services.

Jane Cabrera 

Jane Cabrera is best known as an Author and Illustrator of children's books.
She has written and illustrated 59 books which have been translated into more than 25 languages and she has won awards in the US and Europe. 

Her books range from picture books to board books for babies. Jane designs her books from the initial concept, any novelty elements and hand typography. Many of her picture books are based on traditional nursery rhymes, updated with her own modern fun twist. These are published by Holiday House in the US. www.janecabrera.co.uk

Bernard Allum

Bernard Allum on leaving art school got a position as a Graphic Designer with Thames Television creating many iconic title sequences for mainstream television. He left to set up his own Design and Animation practice in Soho working for BBC1 and BBC2, Channel 4 and Five and major satellite and cable stations. He also worked producing graphics for the Film Industry with credits to Time Bandits, Brazil and other Handmade Film Productions.

Bernard has also exhibited his paintings at Royal Academy West, SGFA (Society Graphic Fine Artists) 2019, Cill Rialaig (Ireland). He writes 'I have always considered myself a Graphic Artist, that is a blend of Designer and Artist'.

Dameon Priestly

Dameon Priestly is a professional fine artist whose work focuses on times and events of social and cultural change, often set in an historical context, but with direct relevance to the present. He has exhibited work in the UK, Europe, US and Singapore, has sold worldwide and appeared in magazines and newspapers in the UK, Europe, Canada and the US. www.dameon.co.uk
