Hours: 2- 4hrs a week

This opportunity is remote working, but if you are based around the London area you are welcome to work from our London office.

This is an unpaid volunteer role.

Are you a currently an undergraduate student or postgraduate student, with an interest in communications? Would you like to gain valuable experience developing communications within a national charity?

We are looking for a Communications Assistant Intern who can help support the day to day running of the communications team at Ovacome. The internship will primarily focus on supporting Ovacome’s social media networks, helping draft and respond to activities on each of our networks, whilst also playing a key role in helping generate content to share news and updates to the ovarian cancer community.

Key responsibilities:

• Assist the Communications and Engagement Officer with the creation and scheduling of content for social media.

• Assist with simple design tasks (no prior knowledge of design tools required).

• Assist with any other marketing / PR / Communications projects as deemed appropriate.

• Protect and enhance the reputation of the charity at all times.

• Deal with confidential and sensitive information appropriately following Data Protection and GDPR procedures.

Ovacome is the UK's ovarian cancer charity providing expert support and information.
