11th May 2018 life changed for me when I lost my Nanny to Ovarian Cancer. She went through 5 cycles of chemotherapy after being first diagnosed in 2012. She was an incredibly strong, brave lady who was so determined to keep fighting but unfortunately was aware that the BRCA2 gene she carried would result in her illness getting the better of her one day. Over the past few years she had been a spokesperson for Ovacome Charity attending numerous events telling her story, it was something I know meant a lot to her.
I would like to think she would be proud of me to also give something back to the charity that did so much for her which is why I have chose to run the London Marathon 2019 for Ovacome in memory of the amazing lady she was.

Having never run a marathon before I am looking forward to the challenge and hoping with the support from family, friends and Nanny in spirit they’ll all help me get over that finish line on the day!

I am so grateful to anyone taking the time to read my story and any donations are massively appreciated.
This 26 mile journey for me is about remembering and celebrating the incredible role model my Nanny was and always will be in my families hearts.
Let the training and fundraising events begin!
