On 12 September, Ovacome CEO Victoria, her friend Jo Slark, Dr Rowan Miller, Consultant Medical Oncologist at St Barts Hospital and UCLH, Dr Michael Flynn Oncology Consultant at UCLH, and Dr Osnat Elyashiv a Gynae Oncology Surgical Fellow at UCLH, will be running 10K at the Surrey Bacchus through Denbie's vineyard to raise funds for Ovacome’s support services.

Dr Miller will be completing the race in Ovacome's giant ovary costume!

Victoria is feeling apprehensive about the race, and says: “Rowan has downgraded to 10k from her normal marathon/half marathon distance. This is because Jo and I wouldn’t make it round a half marathon course and Ovacome needs me to do my job for the remainder of the year!  Jo and I are also relying on Dr Miller, Dr Flynn and Dr Elyashiv to support us medically – should the need arise. We would appreciate any kind donations to the team (Rowan also gives her time and expertise to our charity as well as running to raise funds, because she is wonderful)."

All funds raised will go towards our ovarian cancer support services. Dr Miller is a member of Ovacome's Expert Advisory Panel and has generously given her time and expertise to help support Ovacome's work and our members in the past. Your donations will help us to continue providing our specialist services and support community for anyone affected by ovarian cancer.
