The Charity Awards 2022

We made the shortlist for The Charity Awards 2022 in the Healthcare and Medical Research category for our work to reduce health inequalities in ovarian cancer treatment and support.

The Charity Awards are the longest-running and most prestigious awards in the charity sector. We’re truly honoured to have been recognised for our work.

Charity Awards judge, Rachel Cockett, said she was particularly impressed by Ovacome’s collaboration with people affected by cancer. She also mentioned our work in supporting staff to deal with online abuse because of helping underrepresented communities. “It really felt like they carried all their values throughout their work,” Rachel said.

We were selected as a finalist in the Markel 3rd Sector Care Awards 2022.

This nomination within the Community Engagement category was for the ways we engage with the ovarian cancer community and develop services to meet their needs. Judges said entries for this year’s awards “demonstrated tenacity, compassion, and innovation and showcase how the sector has constantly
adapted during such a turbulent and challenging year”.
