A really big thank you to Tom Carr and his friends Fraser and Tom who took on the Three Peaks Challenge within 24 hours, All together they raised an amazing £2,351.25 to support our work and help us make a difference.

70th Birthday Party
Trish Elding and her family arranged a wonderful birthday party for her mum Janet Shaw with everyone donating to Ovacome raising an amazing £181.96.
Walk in Her Name

Blue Bell pub
We would like to give a heartfelt thanks to John and Jen who own the Blue Bell pub in the village of Whaplode St. Catherines, near Spalding, Lincolnshire. They have raised an amazing £1,175.45! For the month of March.
A really big thank you to Jigna Patel and all her friends for holding and amazing event that raised awareness about ovarian cancer and dementia for the elderly people in their Hindu community. For our work they raised a wonderful £1,626.
We would like to say a really big thank you to all our London Marathon runners for getting out of bed very early throughout the winter and giving up so much of their time.
They together raised an utterly outstanding £50,608.
The Trafalgar School (Breamore House) at Downton has been fundraising to support our work since September 2016 when they did a sponsored walk, since then they organised many fundraising events and raised £2,600.
At Christmas Carolyn Mackrell and her colleagues from work decided to donate their Christmas card money. They bought one large card to and from everyone, saved £40 which they so kindly donated.

Sarah-Jane Gilbert took to the streets of Cardiff again to raise awareness of signs and symptoms of ovarian cancer. Sarah-Jane first ran the Cardiff Half Marathon back in 2014 and decided to run it again she raised a brilliant £428.75 – thank you.

To Diane Badger for supporting Ovacome for so long, this time Diane and her friends made so many delicious cakes, had a great day with their Tea and Cake morning raising a fabulous £695.
A massive thank you to Steven and Neil who took on the madness that is the Yorkshire Tough Mudder under the title ‘two old men and a long course’! They raised a wonderful £794.75.
Thank you so much to Jai Sehmi who works for Greswold Greyhounds Childcare at Greswold Primary School in Solihull. Together with the staff, children and they’re wonderful families they raised a total of £316.40.
Thanks to Jon Channell who decided to have a change from running on streets to running on incredibly rugged terrain. He ran 56 miles along Hadrian’s Wall in 24 hours and raised a fabulous £606.25.
A huge thank you to Simon Dickinson for raising an outstanding £3,125 running the Manchester Marathon, he wrote ‘I wore the Ovacome running vest yesterday having never used a running vest before which I think contributed to my Personal Best’!

Peterculter Golf Club
A really big thank you to the Peterculter Golf Club in Aberdeenshire. They raised a wonderful £930 this year in memory of a dear friend June Morrison.
Streets of Paris
Thank you to Joanne Taylor who took to the Streets of Paris to take part in their Marathon, she raised a wonderful £873.75.
Thank you Jayne Brownridge from Internal Sustainability at Grant Thornton UK LLP for match funding Cherryl Cooper and donating a generous £232, Cherryl ran the 5KM in Belfius in October.
Three local rivers
Peter Codd took to his walking shoes and walked 15 miles round three local rivers for his beautiful wife Tessa who was diagnosed 10 years ago. Peter raised a brilliant £335 – thank you.
Thank you so much to Clair Birks and her husband who took to the skies zipping down the longest and fastest zipline the world, located at Penrhyn Slate Quarry in North Wales and raised an amazing £377.26.
A huge thank you to Barbara De Abreu, Cherryl Cooper, Cherryl Cooper, Karen Alexander, Pasquale Ialongo, Maurina Jocintho, Roseanna Jocintho, Angelo Martino who took to the streets to run the 5KM course of the Belfius Marathon and Half Marathon on 2 October 2016 in Belgium. They raised a brilliant £752.83.
Great North Run
Thank you to Craig McMurrough who took to the streets of Newcastle and ran the Great North Run in memory of his beautiful sister Cheryl. Craig not only ran the half marathon but ran it dressed as a shoe! And raised an amazing £1320.25.
Jon Channel ran two marathons taking to the streets of London and Berlin to raise a wonderful £951.40 – thank you.
Camino de Santiago de Compostela
A huge thank you to Bob Burgess who walked 800 Km to Santiago from St Jean Pied de Port. The first day of the walk is acknowledged to be the most demanding of all, being 24km as the crow flies but climbing 1200m in the process, before a small descent after the top of the Napoleon Pass after 18km. Bob raised an amazing £2,620.
Huge thanks to Megan Grant and Thomas Larden who raised a wonderful £864.40 from their incredibly special annual family football/charity day to celebrate their wonderful Grandma Trish who was diagnosed five years ago.
Natalie Kearns hosted an amazing body combat class with two instructors and not stopping there also organised a coffee and cake sale she raised an impressive £454.27.
Thank you to Kaye Pinnock and her friends Mick, Daisy and Errol took on an incredibly tough and muddy challenge the Nuclear Rush, we saw the photos and can vouch for how muddy they all got! They raised an incredible £1,230.23 in loving memory of their very beloved friend Carol Sharp.
Central Fish Bar
A really big thank you to Trish Elding and all the lovely people who work at Central Fish Bar in Holbech, Lincs and their wonderful customers they raised a magnificent £410.66 from collection tins, holding a raffle and guess the name of the Easter bunny.
Thank you so much to Laura Usher-Frost and the staff of Murray Library, University of Sunderland. Laura was so incredibly busy making a huge selection of crafts, including jewellery and felt designed bags. Laura sold these at work and raised a fabulous £300.
Tea with Ovacome
We would like to say thank you so much to all the beautiful and fabulous Tea with Ovacome models who took to the catwalk with such style and grace. They rasied a whopping £7,241.52, thank you to Bané, Charmaine, Jackie, Jenny, Kelly, Laura, Preeti, Becky, Rebecca, Rosellen, Viv! You are truly wonderful ladies.
Thank you so much Natacha Huggetts who ran the Paris Marathon to raise money for our research into ovarian cancer. She raised an outstanding £7,577.78.
Charity of the year
Thank you to Morisons Solicitors in Glasgow who decided to support our work for 2016. They actively fundraised throughout the year with monthly dress down days, bakes sales and adventurous fun runs. They raised a fantastic £833 for our free support services.
Head shave & waxed!
Thank you to the wonderful company Character Group in Oldham, and Rebecca Scoltock, to date they have raised £2,391.88. Their colleague Jacquie agreed to shave her head and the guys being waxed!
Thank you Craig McMurrough for running the Amsterdam Marathon and the New York Marathon to raise awareness of signs and symptoms and to support our work, Craig had also ran the Great North Run in Sept. Since July Craig has raised over £6,000 in loving memory of his sister Cheryl.
A huge thank you to Katelyn MacVicar and her cousin Ailsa Hughes who both took to the skies and jumped out of the plane at 10,000. Katelyn and Ailsa raised a wonderful £ 675.49.
Thank you to Caroline Giffiths for running the Rough Runner in September, the course and combines obstacles that are inspired by all those game shows we remember – Takeshi’s Castle, Wipeout, Gladiator, Ninja Warrior and more. Caroline raised a fabulous £240.
An absolutely huge thank you to Amelia Thornber and all her friends and family who helped Amelia to realise a really wonderful SarahFest in honour and memory of her amazing Mum Sarah Thornber. They raised over £2,000.
Thank you so much Debbie Howells for running not only the North London Half Marathon but also the British 10K where she did a personal best of 55 minutes.
