When your ovarian cancer surgery has left you with a stoma, this can be a real shock. It can leave you feeling very alone with many questions about how this will affect your day to day life. Our new online stoma group is a friendly space for anyone living with a colostomy, ileostomy or urostomy to chat with others in similar circumstances. You’ll be able to share advice and experiences in a relaxed, informal environment. You do not need to stay for the whole hour and a half; you are welcome to join us for as long as you like.

We meet on the third Wednesday of every month, from 11am to 12:30pm.

The group is being set up and run with the help of Ovacome members who are living with a stoma. There will be a stoma nurse available for some sessions, and occasional speakers. You can join these meetings simply by dialling in on your landline or mobile phone, or you can videocall in on your latop, tablet (iPad) or smartphone if you’d like to be able to see the other group members.

Come join our supportive community, ask questions and share experiences! If you have any questions, get in touch on 07503 682 311 or at [email protected]

On Wednesday 18 November, we will be holding a special session with cancer exercise specialist Lizzy Davis, about exercising with a stoma.
