I'm raising money for Ovacome, who provide support and information to those affected by ovarian cancer. This cause means a lot to me, as I had a close brush with this dreadful disease myself, resulting in major surgery, and I got to know a lovely lady who ended up being diagnosed stage 2 (thankfully she has made a good recovery). I hope that you'll consider contributing towards the vital work that Ovacome to do support research and provide help to women and their families facing ovarian cancer.

By taking part in the Virtual Teal Walk throughout March (Ovarian Cancer Month) and walking a minimum of 2500 steps a day ( a challenge for someone with little energy and dodgy legs!), I'm raising money for Ovacome, who provide support and information to those affected by ovarian cancer. As someone who has been living with ovarian cancer for many years, this cause means a lot to me, and I hope that you'll consider contributing towards their work by sponsoring me. Thanks in anticipation! Laura x

I responded well to chemo and fast forward 21 months I thought I’d beaten it. Unfortunately ovarian cancer is hard to diagnose and difficult to cure. Hackney Half for Ovacome

Ovacome is a charity that raises money for ovarian cancer research and to help support the families and friends of those affected by ovarian cancer. The signs and symptoms of ovarian cancer are not well known and so it is often diagnosed late, after it has already spread, meaning it cannot be cured. Only half of women diagnosed with ovarian cancer survive more that 5 years after diagnosis. By running this half marathon I am hoping to raise awareness so others can spot the signs earlier and ther
