Ovacome Support Line, supported by Beat:Cancer

ZCT and Ovacome
Zurich Community Trust have been supporting Ovacome since 2017, and since then, have funded many of our services and projects, including our work in Croydon, our Survivors Teaching Students programme, and our support service.
Their support has allowed our service provision to grow and develop in line with our communities’ needs.

Ovacome Support Services, supported by the Marsh Charitable Trust
The Marsh Charitable Trust has been kindly supporting our ovarian cancer Support Services since 2017. Our Support Service programme embodies our Support Line, Staying Connected programme of online workshops, webinars and support groups, and our Health and Wellbeing Events.
Their steadfast support means we can continue this integral service, supporting anyone affected by ovarian cancer.

Norwich Health and Wellbeing Day 2025, supported by The Childwick Trust
The Childwick Trust has supported Ovacome with a grant so we can deliver a Health and Wellbeing Day in Norwich in 2025. This event will provide much needed support and information to people in Norfolk who have been affected by ovarian cancer and will help us embed ourselves in this region to continue supporting those who need us, now and in the future. This would not be possible without their generous contribution, and we are grateful that they have chosen to support this important work.

Staying Connected, supported by St James's Place Charitable Foundation
Staying Connected is a programme of activities supporting the mental and physical wellbeing of those affected by ovarian cancer. This includes yoga classes, crafting, online and in-person support groups e.g. for family members and friends, and talks and webinars from clinicians on various topics relating to ovarian cancer, for example, how to talk to children about a cancer diagnosis. It is one of our most popular projects, and the St. James’s Place Foundation has generously contributed towards the costs of delivering this work, meaning we can continue providing beneficial workshops, talks, and support to anyone across the UK affected by this disease.

Cardiff Health and Wellbeing Day supported by the Oakdale Trust
The Oakdale Trust has supported Ovacome with a grant so we can deliver a Health and Wellbeing Day is Cardiff in 2025. This event will provide much needed support and information to people in Wales who have been affected by ovarian cancer, and will help us kick-start our work in this region so we can continue supporting those who need us. This event would not be possible without their generous support, and we are grateful that they have chosen to fund this important and vital project.

Patient Experience in Practice, supported by the Hospital Saturday Fund
We are dedicated to raising awareness of the signs and symptoms of ovarian cancer amongst medical and healthcare professionals, to aid earlier diagnosis and result in better treatment options. To do this, we run a programme called Patient Experience in Practice which aims to highlight the signs and symptoms of ovarian cancer to medical students, and the experiences of those from underserved communities to medical professionals working in gynae-oncology. This project has been generously supported by the Hospital Saturday Fund, who have funded this programme for 1 year.

Newcastle Health and Wellbeing Day, supported by The Sir James Knott Trust
The Sir James Knott Trust has supported Ovacome with a multi-year grant so we can deliver Health and Wellbeing Days in Newcastle for the next 3 years. These events will provide much needed support and information to people in Newcastle, and the North East who have been affected by ovarian cancer and will help us embed ourselves in this region to continue supporting those who need us, now and in the future. This would not be possible without their generous contribution, and we are grateful that they have chosen to support our vital work for the next 3 years.

Members Day 2025, supported by the London Freemasons Charity
The London Freemasons Charity has supported Ovacome with a grant so we can deliver our annual Members Day event in London. The event will give our members the chance to hear talks from clinicians regarding ovarian cancer treatment and developments, whilst also benefitting from peer support and friendship from others with similar experiences of the disease. We are very much looking forward to welcoming people on the day, and are very grateful that the Freemasons have contributed to the costs of this important and highly anticipated event.

In person events, together with GSK.
Together with GSK, we are able to host six regional events for our community of people affected by ovarian cancer. These will be in London, Leeds, Newcastle, and Belfast, and will give us the opportunity to provide much needed support and information to local people in these cities. This funding will also help us embed ourselves in these regions, to continue supporting those who need us.
