You can get involved this Ovarian Cancer Awareness Month in a number of ways. Whether its by raising vital funds to support our work, or by promoting awareness of signs and symptoms in your community, there is something for everyone.

.

Raise awareness

If you would like to help raise awareness of ovarian cancer this March, we can provide posters, leaflets and wallet cards with information about the signs and symptoms of ovarian cancer. You can ask to place these in your local GP surgery, library, shops, or even at your hairdresser's!

Help us to raise the profile of the ovarian cancer across the UK this March, so that more women are able to identify the common signs of the disease.

We can provide posters, leaflets, symptom wallet cards and teal ribbons.

If you would like to request awareness materials, email [email protected] or call 0207 299 6658 with quantities and your address.

.

31 Days

This March, come together with others from around the UK and host one of our 31 fundraising events to mark the 31 days of Ovarian Cancer Awareness Month. Help us to raise awareness in your local community and vital funds to support those affected by the disease.

In March 2018, the Ovacome community raised an astounding £55,780. We hope to be able to raise even more this year, so that we will be able to provide extended support line hours, more events and more ovarian cancer resources.

If you would like to host one of our 31 events, please get in touch with Lee for more information on 0207 299 6651 or at [email protected]

Donate

If you are unable to commit to any of the activities above, but would still really like to make a difference this March, you can donate any amount of money to support our work. No matter how much you give, every little will truly help us to provide vital support to women and their families.

£5 will cover the cost of a packet of information to be sent out to someone who has been newly diagnosed with ovarian cancer – a valuable source of information that they can use throughout the initial stages of treatment for the disease.

£25 could provide one hour of our specialist support for someone affected by ovarian cancer, through our freephone, online forum email and instant chat services.

£150 could pay for one of our specialist support groups to run for up to 20 women.  Through these groups we help to reduce feelings of isolation and provide specialist support or information at the time when some women need it most.

£403 could pay for one day of lab time for the Ovacome research team at Birmingham University to help them find new ways of treating and diagnosing ovarian cancer.
