A brand new type of cancer drug that acts as a ‘Trojan horse’ to get inside tumour cells has shown promise in patients with six different advanced, drug-resistant cancers, including ovarian cancer.

The drug called tisotumab vedotin attaches to the tail end of an antibody. The antibody binds to the surface of cancers cells and draws the drug inside, where it can kill them from within by releasing a toxic substance.
