The Great North Run is the largest half marathon in the world, taking place annually in North East England each September along its world-famous route from Newcastle to South Shields. The run was devised by former Olympic 10,000 m bronze medalist and BBC Sport commentator Brendan Foster. You’ll take to the streets of Newcastle-upon-Tyne alongside more than 57,000 runners, rubbing shoulders with celebrities, world-class athletes and charity runners. With an electric atmosphere from start to finish, plus a display from the Red Arrows over the finish line, this is one half marathon that every runner has to experience.

All runners will need to raise a minimum of £450.
