In 2017 I discovered I had a rather large ovarian cyst, 15cm x 8cm, and the consultant wasted no time in booking me in for an urgent total abdominal hysterectomy. Then came the wait to see if I had ovarian cancer. I was fortunate and was given the all clear, and following some rest and recuperation, life got back to normal pretty quickly and I was soon out running again. Others are not so lucky. In autumn of 2022 we lost my sister-in-law to ovarian cancer. In Debs' memory and to help support the incredible work Ovacome does, I'm running the London Marathon again.

I was due to run in 2023 but had to defer my place to 2024 but in the meantime, I will be running at least 6 half marathons during the remainder of 2023 and ready for the start line in London next April.

If you are able to donate a few pounds it will be very much appreciated by me and everyone at Ovacome and the women and families they support.
