Get involved Ovarian Cancer Awareness Month Spread the word, raise funds, you can make a difference. Ovarian Cancer Awareness Month is just around the corner. Every March we all have the opportunity to put a spotlight on ovarian cancer. Together with your help, we can spread the word and raise funds to make a difference for everyone affected by ovarian cancer. . How can I get involved in March 2024? There are lots of ways you can get involved this March. . Raise awareness Knowing the signs and symptoms of ovarian cancer is so crucial to diagnosis. Our B.E.A.T. symptoms awareness campaign is the perfect way to spread the word in your local community or workplace. And it couldn’t be easier, head over to our B.E.A.T campaign webpage to find out more and request some information to distribute to places you visit and people you meet. . Raise funds There are so many different ways to fundraise for Ovacome and you can turn anything you enjoy into a way of supporting those affected by ovarian cancer. Whether that’s a bake sale with your friends or at work, selling items you make to friends and family, a golf tournament or a quiz night, Imo, our events and community fundraising officer is here to help you along the way. And if you’re feeling fit and well enough to take on a challenge event, we’ve got plenty of those for you to choose from! Why not walk or run a mile every day during March, take part in a run or cycle challenge, or even a skydive. We've got a range of challenge events to browse through on the website, but if you've got something else in mind let our fundraising team know. And sometimes the most simple ways are the best. If you’re happy sharing your story and how Ovacome has helped you, head over and create a fundraising page, fill in your details and then share your page with your nearest and dearest using email, message, WhatsApp and social media. Every penny raised goes towards supporting people with ovarian cancer as they navigate diagnosis, treatment and recovery. And our services rely on your generosity; we receive no government funding. . Share your story We’re always so humbled by our members who are willing to share their experience of ovarian cancer with the public, either on our social media channels or the media. Watch this space for our campaign theme this year, but if you think you might be interested in getting involved, sign up as a member, and let us know that you’d be prepared to share your story. .
