The dreaded big-C. I can’t think of anyone who hasn’t been affected by a loved one receiving a cancer diagnosis, so I am raising money to support Ovacome who support those affected by Ovarian cancer.
Sara found love for running and park marathons during her battle with cancer so what better way to remember her than a half marathon!
I’m running the Great North Run to raise money for Ovacome, who support people living with ovarian cancer and their loved ones. This cause means a lot to myself and my family and I hope that you’ll consider supporting their work in any way that you can.

On Sunday 15th October I’ll be taking part in the Manchester Half Marathon to raise money for Ovacome, in memory of my wonderful friend Nicki Jones. Ovacome supports people living with ovarian cancer and their families and I remember Nicki talking so fondly about this community and especially her ‘teal sisters’. This cause means a lot to me and I hope that you’ll consider supporting their work in any way that you can.
On 14th October I will be abseiling the largest free standing abseil tower in the world, a whopping 418ft in memory of Ruth Lismore, my Step Mum in Law. Ruth passed away from Ovarian Cancer in February this year after a short, but mighty, battle.
I have chosen to raise money in aid of Ovacome by running the London Marathon. I wanted to do this because I believe the work Ovacome provides is important in helping this underrepresented and often overlooked form of cancer.
