The Ovacome Teal Walk is our ongoing community challenge, helping our members to stay active while raising awareness of ovarian cancer and funds for our services.

This March, which is Ovarian Cancer Awareness Month, one of our members Allyson wants to create a club for those taking part in the Teal Walk, called Walk With Me. The club is for anyone affected by ovarian cancer.

Since her diagnosis in 2020, Allyson has found great benefits from walking and wants to share her passion with other enthusiasts and newbies to longer distance walks.

“I have been thinking as I’ve been walking, how we can create a club so people could join and meet.” says Allyson.

“It would be great if we can create a community that will map our miles and of course support each other, but importantly create a movement for women to get walking, with everyone connecting by Whatsapp".

It's quick and easy to sign up for the virtual Teal Walk, setting yourself a daily, weekly or monthly target of steps. To take part you can track your distance on a free app such as Strava, or Ovacome has step-tracking wristbands that we can send you.

Get involved this March, whether you'd like to fundraise or simply join the community. Click below to join the Walk With Me club and then set up your fundraising page here.
