About the session
This is your time to relax & restore.
The immersive meditation session crafted by Dee is unique, with a bespoke script & curated music to gently guide you to a point of stillness, where you can feel calm, safe and no longer bombarded with the ‘noise' of life.
Clearing your mind is not the objective, instead you are led to a place where you can relax & think clearly.
Everyone is welcome, whether you are new to meditation or a seasoned practitioner.
Most join us because they
- Would like a restorative experience that helps them become calm & relaxed
- Want to learn new skills to help them manage stress, anxiety & overwhelm
- Want to prioritise their emotional, physical & mental wellbeing
- Want a safe space where they have ‘permission’ to just be still and rest
- Want a little bit of time just for them
Here’s what happens during the session:
- You will be gently led through a short mindfulness meditation to settle you in
- Dee will then share a short reading with you around the session’s topic.
- You will then follow Dee’s voice as she takes you on a journey using guided imagery & gentle inquiry to spark your imagination, & progressive relaxation to leave you blissfully at ease as you rest.
- The session is as interactive as you want it to be, often people choose to share what came up for them in the meditation & benefit from hearing about the unique experience of others in the group. We will allow time for group discussion at the end of the session. Sharing is very welcome but not mandatory.

Support available for this event
If you require support to attend one of our in-person events, please let us know when you sign up. We always ensure the venues we use are accessible for anyone with disabilities.
Some examples of support we can give include:
- Translators including BSL. We usually require around three weeks advanced notice to allow for booking.
- Receiving slides or information ahead of the session
- Reserve a seat close to the speakers
- Travel assistance - we can help you with planning your travel to our event, and where possible arrange for a member of the team to accompany you on your journey to the event if you need assistance.
- Financial assistance – we want to ensure that Ovacome members can access the events they want to without worrying about the associated costs. For example, we can help cover the price of transport to attend an in-person event and contribute to accommodation expenses if staying away from home to join an Ovacome event. You may feel tired after attending an event. we can arrange accommodation in advance for you so that you can rest before travelling home. Friends and family are included if they are accompanying a person with an ovarian diagnosis to our events, or if they have access needs themselves.
This event has been kindly funded by The Eveson Trust
All of our ovarian cancer events, webinars, workshops and support groups are free. However, if you can spare a few pounds to cover the cost of your registration, this will help us continue to provide free support to those who aren’t able to do so. You can make a donation when you register. Thank you so much for your support.
