I’m taking on the 2026 London Marathon for Ovacome – and I’d love your support 🏃♀️🏃♂️
In April 2026, I’m running the London Marathon to raise vital funds and awareness for Ovacome, the UK’s ovarian cancer support charity. I’m doing this on behalf of my amazing friend Becky! In September 2024 she received life changing news that she had stage 4 cancer and after an unbelievable fight is now cancer free. She has fought through the surgery, chemo and changes to her body and handled it all with incredible strength and grace. She finishes her post chemo treatment in February, while I am at the height of marathon training but if she can sit for hours and hours in those treatment sessions to fight this horrible disease… then I can run for a few hours to try and raise some money on her behalf! I am so very very proud of her, and I cannot wait to run this marathon to celebrate how strong she is. Keep fighting Becky!
Becky’s words: My Journey
In September 2024, my life changed overnight when I was diagnosed with ovarian cancer. What followed was a fight I never expected: months of chemotherapy and major lifealtering surgery to remove cancer that had spread to 12 different places in my body. Thanks to my medical team, unwavering support, and the incredible strength I didn’t know I had; I’m now in the clear.
Throughout my journey, Ovacome has been a beacon of support — providing trustworthy information, a community of people who truly understand, and resources that made the hardest moments feel a little less lonely. They are an essential charity for anyone affected by ovarian cancer, and I’m incredibly proud that my friend is running the London Marathon in their honour.
Please support their run for Ovacome — every step helps raise awareness, fund support services, and give hope to others facing this disease.
