Kate Hurrell

My mum was bubbly, funny, loyal and the life and soul of any occasion. She was forever positive and loved her friends and family (including her three year old grand-daughter).

On the 12th October 2018, my mum was cruelly taken from us, having only been diagnosed with ovarian cancer 5 weeks before.

I started official 'training' on mother's day and will be running the 2020 London marathon on behalf of Ovacome.

Ovacome are a smaller charity who offer support for women effected by ovarian cancer. Their services include telephone support, a 24hr online forum, instant chat and face to face support groups. They work hard raising awareness of the disease, whilst also funding a member of Birmingham University, who is working on new therapies and improving outcomes for women with advanced ovarian cancer.

This is where I need your support.

Please can you share this page with friends, friends of friends, family, pets etc. via Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram and donate whatever you can. With your help, you will be doing my mum an honour whilst also giving other women a greater chance of survival from ovarian cancer.

Thank you
