Through my daily work as a gynae oncology clinical nurse specialist I meet many people undergoing treatment for, and families being affected by Ovarian cancer. There is very little awareness around this disease, that and its subtle symptoms means that the large majority of people being diagnosed with Ovarian cancer are in stages 3 or 4.
My work in supporting patients wouldn’t be possible without the resources and support that Ovacome provide. They receive no government funding and so despite the fact that running is really quite hard for me.. I have decided to attempted the London Landmarks half Marathon.
