1. permissions
If you are happy for us to use your fundraising photos and videos, please send them to us with your written permission in an email. This allows us to share your amazing content across our communications channels (social media, website, magazine etc). It would be brilliant to share your fundraising efforts with the rest of Ovacome's community.
2. photos
We would love to receive a mixture of portrait and landscape photos from you, as different picture orientations work better on different social media platforms. If you’re unsure of what to photograph, here are some ideas:
- A photo of you in your Ovacome t-shirt or running vest
- Pictures of you training, practicing for or setting up your event
- Pictures of you on the big day itself
- Pictures that capture the environment and atmosphere of the event – this could be beautiful scenery on a walk or a mid-race action shot
- Pictures of your friends and family cheering you on
- Pictures of the materials you are using to fundraise or the items you are selling (if applicable)

3. videos
Video is the most powerful way we can share your amazing efforts and inspire others to get fundraising themselves. In the age of social media, where video is king, it’s the absolute best way to encourage new potential supporters and show them just how important our work is.
What we'd love from you:
A 20-30 second video (portrait), talking us through your amazing fundraising. We'd love to showcase your support of our vital work. Our most effective videos are those of our lovely fundraisers speaking to camera. Think chatty and informal. You don’t need to a script, just speak from the heart!

Some questions you could answer in your video:
- How are you fundraising for Ovacome?
- Why are you are fundraising for Ovacome?
- Why do you think Ovacome’s work is important?
- What is your personal connection to Ovacome or ovarian cancer?
- What have you enjoyed most about your fundraising journey?
Please answer these questions in complete standalone sentences. For example, if you are answering the question 'why are you fundraising for Ovacome?', you would begin your sentence 'I'm fundraising for Ovacome because...'
Please refer to Ovacome as an organisation, rather than mentioning individual staff members you may have spoken to. Please don’t mention the names of any other Ovacome community members unless you are fundraising with them jointly – we don’t have their permission.
Apart from that, it’s up to you! You are welcome to send us a shorter video of you speaking alongside some fun photos or videos of you in action - we can edit these together into the final post.
