In this webinar, Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) Gemma Roth will talk about the role of a CNS and why they are a key part of your clinical team when diagnosed with ovarian cancer. She will speak about how a CNS is involved in your treatment, and how they can support your recovery and holistic care needs. There will be a Q&A at the end of the session where attendees can ask Gemma any questions they have relating to her presentation.
About our speaker
In her current role Gemma runs 4 nurse led clinics including surveillance, on treatment and PARP clinics. Gemma’s big passions lie within holistic care, education and service improvement and she also works with charities to help improve patient experience and offer extra support to patients around the region and country.

Support available to access online sessions
If you require support to attend one of our online sessions, please let us know when you sign up. Some examples of support we can give include:
- Enabling translated captioning
- Closed captioning is available on all our Zoom sessions
- Receiving slides or information ahead of the session
- Translators including BSL. We usually require around three weeks advanced notice to allow for booking.
- Tech assistance – we have a user guide to help with our online Zoom events and we are here to help people get connected. We can set up a practice Zoom meeting with a member of the Ovacome team. We can also talk through any questions you may have about this technology.
- Financial assistance - we want to ensure that every Ovacome member can access the webinars they want to without worrying about the associated costs. For example, we can cover the internet costs for people who would like to join our online webinars.
By attending an Ovacome online event, you agree to our participation agreement, which you can read here. Please note that we will not tolerate any form of discriminatory or offensive comments during our event. Anyone who makes any comments that are deemed as such will be removed from the session.
