Challenge information

Tour de Ovacome is your chance to do what you love and help power real change. This August, we’re inviting cyclists across the UK to
take on a challenge inspired by the number ‘21’ – that’s for the 21 stages of the Tour de France and the 21 people diagnosed with ovarian cancer every day in the UK.

Take part in an organised event, choose one or more of our suggested rides, or design your own! Whether you’re clocking up road miles, hitting the trails, or smashing it on a static bike, you’re in charge. Set the pace, pick the route, and make this challenge your own.

Ovacome receives no government funding.
No matter how you ride, you’ll be raising vital funds and awareness for a cause that needs your support.

Why take part?

Maybe you’ve never thought about ovarian cancer. But someone you care about could be affected by it – your mum, partner, sister, auntie, daughter or best friend. Even if you don’t have ovaries, you know someone who does.

By raising funds and awareness and sharing the signs and symptoms, you could help change a life. The earlier ovarian cancer is caught, the better the chances of successful treatment.

Fundraising commitment

Set your own sponsorship goal – but we’re asking you to aim high. Raise £100 or more, and we’ll send you an exclusive Ovacome cycling vest and your bike’s very own teal ribbon to show off your impact.

Ready to ride? Register now, set up your fundraising page, and let’s get rolling.

Cycling anyway, why not peddle for a purpose? Awareness starts with action. Every mile you ride this August helps spark conversations, raise recognition, and brings us closer to a world where no one faces ovarian cancer alone.

Why Ovacome?

Despite being the 6th most common cancer among women in the UK, ovarian cancer is still not widely known or recognised. In fact, 66% of people living with the disease said they had never heard of it before their diagnosis. Awareness of the signs and symptoms is low, and most cases are diagnosed at a later stage, when treatment is more complex and outcomes more uncertain. By taking part in Tour de Ovacome, you’ll help us change that – one mile at a time.

Ovacome is the UK’s national ovarian cancer support charity. We offer reliable information, emotional support, and a welcoming community for anyone affected – whether you're living with the disease, supporting someone who is, or concerned about your own or a loved one’s risk. We also work to improve early detection through our vital awareness-raising initiatives.

Unlike some other cancers, ovarian cancer is often diagnosed at a point where treatment will be an ongoing part of life, rather than a short-term intervention. Many people living with the disease describe this as feeling disorienting, isolating, and full of unknowns. That’s why Ovacome is so important: a constant, trusted presence offering support, information, and community. For many, we’re more than a support service – we’re a companion to turn to.
