In memory of Karen Lisa Woolner

By Natasha Troy

I've created this page in memory of a loved one.

Karen Lisa Woolner - Forever 54 years, 2 weeks & 4 days ❤️
Karen was my truly amazing, beautiful and inspirational mum.
16th August 2022 is when mum received the diagnosis that she had stage 3C ovarian cancer, later confirmed as high grade serous carcinoma. Within 3.5 months (end of November 2022) it was regraded to stage 4B due to new growths including around the diaphragm. For 10 months prior mums symptoms had been missed as menopause and constipation which is a big part of the reason mum was so passionate about awareness.
In December 2022, the doctors gave my mum a prognosis of months to live but in her true fighting spirit she said absolutely not, I want to live for my husband, my children and my grandchildren - I will fight it in every way I can! & that’s exactly what she did, for 3.5 years, she had various combinations of chemo and fought with true grit, even on the hard days, she would have a smile and force herself awake in the presence of visitors, always caring for others before herself.
I intend to carry on my mums wish of spreading awareness and fundraising when I can, so please, help me keep her name alive forever - Karen Lisa Woolner 1972-2026 ❤️
I love you, always and forever & we will miss you every day until we are reunited. Sleep tight our amazing warrior, we’ve got this now 🩵
