After running my first Marathon last year, I have decided to lace up my running shoes and take on the challenge of running another one. The whole aspect of being part of the London Marathon and running for the incredible charity Ovacome gave me such a buzz and sense of achievement, I want to feel that again.
Once again I shall be running in memory of my mum and auntie who have passed away from ovarian cancer and for myself as the chance of getting it is always on the back of mind.
I am going to take on the Manchester Marathon this year in April, as well as the Great North Run in September and who knows maybe some sneaky other races throughout the year.
Any support and donations, would be incredible in helping me raise money for Ovacome.

Can you help me make a real difference to the life of someone affected by ovarian cancer?
I’m raising funds for Ovacome, the national UK charity focused on providing support and information to anyone affected by this disease. Ovacome is a strong community for those who have been diagnosed, those who think that they might be at risk, friends and family, and healthcare professionals.
Ovacome exists to reduce isolation, provide expert information, promote understanding of ovarian cancer and its symptoms, and to support those affected by it in their time of need.
Ovacome’s specialist support team is there to help those living with ovarian cancer navigate their treatment, care and life beyond the disease through the charity’s telephone support line, email, and 24-hour forum. Ovacome also hosts online and in-person groups, workshops, and events where people affected can meet others in similar circumstances, share advice, make friends, and offer encouragement to one another in a safe environment.
Ovacome receives no government funding and so relies on its donors and fundraisers to make its life-changing work possible. Your generosity could help someone affected by ovarian cancer access the vital support and resources they need. Any amount you feel able to give could have a huge impact on the experience of someone facing a diagnosis.

Tuesday 1st Sep Looking forward to the Great North Run in a couple of weeks. I completed Manchester Marathon in April which i thoroughly enjoyed, narrowly missing out on a sub 4 time of 4 hours, 2 minutes. Training was done and I had a free weekend :) so 3 weeks later I took on the hilly Leeds marathon - my home town, finishing it was the main thing and I crossed the line in 4 hours 20 minutes.Thank you to my Sponsors
