The annual Touch of Teal Tea with Ovacome is a fabulous celebration of our wonderful community, but also an important fundraising event that raises vital funds for Ovacome's life-changing services. Touch of Teal takes place on 13 September this year, in the middle of Gynaecological Cancer Awareness Month. Help us reach our all-important £75,000 fundraising target for the month and support the models in the lead-up to the big day!

Meet the Models

Meet Anita, who believes that " even in adversity, we may find small joys, goals and hope". "Speaking and sharing help to normalise the conversation and raise awareness". Anita wants people to know that they're not alone.

Introducing enthusiastic cyclist Janet, from London. Janet has found “the support I’ve received from other ladies with ovarian cancer to be invaluable”. She wants to help raise awareness of the symptoms of ovarian cancer and bring hope to others.

Joyce, from The Wirral, has been living alongside an ovarian cancer diagnosis for 23 years. Joyce wants to show that there is a life to be lived with ovarian cancer and give hope to other women.

Meet Tina from London – a community health champion promoting health and awareness in her community.  Tina wants to inform, empower, and support young women to address “women’s health inequalities face-to-face”.

Introducing Sue - an entertainer from Buckinghamshire. Sue’s positivity is infectious, and she wants “to show people that a stage 4 diagnosis doesn’t define you – life is precious, and creating forever fun memories is key to a happier mindset”.

Introducing Simone from Sussex, who has been fundraising for Ovacome since 2021 through her very own pop-up library! “With Ovacome behind me, I feel that I have somewhere to turn and talk to if need be, that will understand.”

Natasha from London wants to tell her story at “every given opportunity” – “it’s all about raising awareness”. Natasha is excited for this opportunity: “I want to show everyone this is me. Stronger, taller, more confident, and living life”.
