Ovacome have recently partnered with Astriid, a charity that connects skilled individuals with long-term illness to employers.

Astriid was launched by the late David Shutts OBE, after his stage 4 cancer diagnosis made him realise the true value of work to those living with a chronic health condition – how it provides a sense of normality and a welcome distraction from the everyday.

Through its free online matchmaking platform, Astriid connects people with long-term illnesses and their care-givers to companies offering flexible work on a paid or voluntary basis. Members list their skills and available working hours, employers post job opportunities, then Astriid links them up.

As an Astriid partner, Ovacome has now joined hundreds of businesses spanning all sizes and sectors already eager to fill meaningful roles. If you are looking for a simple route to showcase your talents, or would like to share your expertise through a voluntary mentoring position, please visit their website. You can also follow Astriid on Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn and Instagram.
